Water Shoes or Sandals?

Everyone loves the summer months! It is basically engrained in us as children, as these are the months that we finally got off school and could relax. If you live in a colder area of the country, the sun finally comes out and we never have to worry about the snow! For those of you in places like Los Angeles, Florida, and Texas, the rest of us are forever jealous of your year-round warmer weather.

With summer just around the corner, it is getting time to update our closets and buy new things to wear while doing summer activities. What are your favorite things to do in the summer? What are your favorite things to wear?

One thing that many of us can agree on is that there is nothing better than being by a body of water for most of the summer. We simply love going to the beach or relaxing by a pool. There is just something about being near the ocean and hearing the waves crash against the shore that does something to the human soul. It is an amazing thing.

Before being on the beach however, it is time to decide what you are going to wear on your feet. While many go barefoot, it does run the danger of damaging your feet. There are a lot of objects, both in the water and on the sand, that could be detrimental to the condition of your feet. The moment one foot gets hurt, it can ruin your entire summer.

Here is where the main question comes to mind: What should I wear on my feet during the summer months? Two of the main options to choose from are either water shoes or sandals. These two are what the majority of people are wearing, but which is going to be the best for you? Which is going to have more features for you to choose from? Water shoes

For many, when they think about water shoes, they think they are very childish. Yes, water shoes are worn a lot by children, but over the past decade, there has been a rise in high-quality water shoes for adults that have great looks and are durably designed.

There are so many styles of water shoes; some look exactly like running shoes, while others can look like loafers. The best types of water shoes have drainage ports that allow the water to drain and dry easily. This allows you to also easily wear them on land.

Water shoes are mainly worn by people who want to do a workout in a pool, or by those who need the support on their feet when in the water. They are designed to keep you protected from any glass or rocks at the bottom of the ocean.

Sandals

Everyone loves sandals in summer; they are probably the most popular things to wear on your feet. First off, the main reason people wear them is you can go barefoot. This offers your feet a great way to tan, and can also allow a greater airflow to the feet; this causes them to smell less.

People also can easily wear their sandals right into a body of water and then outside of the water as they easily dry. There are all types of shapes and sizes of sandals to choose from. They are the number-one thing on people’s feet throughout the summer.

Which one is better?

To answer this, it all depends on what you are going to be using them for. If you are planning to do a lot of workouts along the beach, or water aerobics, then water shoes are the best option for you. They offer a lot more support than sandals do, and are also designed for exercising. The best are just like running shoes for the water.

However, for just casual trips to the beach, sandals are the way to go. They frequently smell less as they are open, and you can have your feet out in the open.
