Water Shoes for Under $10
For many of us, buying a pair of new shoes is something we do at the beginning of every summer. With the change of season (for those of us in parts of the country with all the seasons), we need to restock on clothes for the warmer climate including new tops, new pants/shorts, and new shoes.
New shoes are a necessity as we are trading in our big winter boots for summer shoes such as heels and sandals. Now for those of with larger families, or with a lot of children to take care of, we want to make sure we are purchasing things that are not going to break the bank. Many people simply want to purchase clothing that looks great but is also affordably priced.
One of the most important purchases you can make this summer is on a nice pair of water shoes. Now, we know what you’re thinking: Do I really need a pair of water shoes? We believe the answer is yes.
If you are looking for a fantastic way to burn calories this summer without getting too hot, one of the best workouts you can do is in a pool. Many gyms and community pools offer water aerobics, to keep you feeling in shape while keeping the sweat level down.
In order to do these effectively you need water shoes. The best types of water shoes have the traction necessary to remain non-slippery in a pool; this allows you to grip the bottom, just like a running shoe can do on land, and do effective workouts.
Now, another place that you can definitely use water shoes is when you are near a body of water, such as the ocean, a lake, river, or a small pond. Whether you are going on a walk in the water, or exploring throughout the wildlife, it is integral that you have something on your feet to protect you from the dangers that may be around you.
There are usually sharp rocks, or even broken bottles in public areas with water, and a water shoe could be the difference between having a sliced-open foot and being safe. For all of these reasons, we believe you should look into buying a water shoe.
Finding an affordable pair
One of the things people always ask us is, “Will I have to spend a fortune on water shoes?” Well, the answer is: potentially. It all depends on what you are looking for. There are plenty of water shoes that are well over $100 as they come with fantastic features and are made by a high-end brand.
By all means, if you have the money and want the best of the best, then we recommend you look around toward these. However, many of us don’t want to spend a lot of money on water shoes, as they are not going to be used every day. Fortunately, there are plenty of water shoes for under $10 if you know where to look.
Where to look?
To be honest, the place to find the cheapest water shoes (with the greatest selection under $10) is definitely Wal-Mart. As with many other products, they offer a wide range of selection at prices that are incredible.
Now for any cheaper water shoe, especially those under $10, your best bet is to go with larger companies such as JC Penny or Macy’s, as they will have a lot to choose from. The higher end shoe companies are going to cost you a lot more money.
One of our favorite resources to look for shoes is Amazon. They have a fantastic way to find cheaper priced water shoes and you can also look at reviews to ensure you are getting a great product.
When looking for water shoes under $10, always ensure that they are made out of a durable design. Yes, you will be saving money up front, but if your shoe breaks within the first month, you will have to spend additional money on a replacement. The key things to look for is that it is comfortable, easily dries, and they have a great overall look.
